According to a recent study, the homebuilding industry contributes more than $60 billion a year to the state's economy and generates 525,000 jobs.

A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. A CCIM is among an elite corps of more than 9,000 professionals who hold the CCIM designation across North America and more than 30 countries. Nearly 10,000 additional professionals are pursuing the CCIM designation. The CCIM curriculum consists of four core courses that incorporate financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate.

 

AIR American Real Estate Association

 

AIR is one of the nation’s largest organizations of commercial real estate brokers. Founded in Los Angeles in 1960 AIR is a non-profit organization of brokers for brokers. The AIR community comprises more than 1,600 transaction professionals in 350 firms. Significantly, they constitute over 95 % of all brokers in the five-county Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. Stan Mullin was president of AIR in 2007.

 

 
The USC Lusk Center for Real Estate seeks to advance real estate knowledge, inform business practice, and address timely issues that affect the real estate industry, the urban economy, and public policy. The Lusk Center produces relevant and timely real estate research, supports educational programs for students and executives, and convenes professional forums that bring together academics, students, business executives, and community leaders. Also includes research and economic forecast for California real estate.
 
 

The mission of the Richard S. Siman Center for Real Estate at UCLA is to advance thought leadership in the field of real estate by generating influential research, educating the next generation of leaders, and providing meaningful forums for industry professionals and policymakers. Through its various activities and programs, the Center employs an interdisciplinary and global approach to addressing the most critical real estate challenges facing our society today and in the future. Students in our part-time Master of Science in Real Estate degree acquire a comprehensive understanding of real estate investment, development, and management, with an emphasis on the necessity of smart, sustainable development. Students are trained both in theory and application and they are guided by a faculty comprised of Johns Hopkins professors and of practitioners drawn from the region's leading investment, development, law, architectural, engineering, and planning firms.
